Valentine’s day would have been a perfect day to launch Manada Mayilada season 5, but the show was not launched on 14.02.2010. Kala master presented a sort of prelude to the show along with the 3 winners of season 4 and female participants of season 5. Viewers were shown some previous performances of MM4 participants. There was nothing special in the episode. Judges Khushboo and Namitha were missing and the rollercoaster Sanjay was conspcious by his absence.
The first prize for Manada Mayilada 5 is a flat worth Rs.42,00,000/- (at least that is what being claimed by the organizers) in Pondicherry. This is being touted as the biggest prize money on a realty show in Tamilnadu. Viewers will also take the role of a Judge in deciding the best performer. By the way, will the hosts stop addressing the viewers as ‘audience’ as it is totally out of place?
As far the male participants, the names are under wraps. Few visuals were shown on the prospects but I do not think anyone could have identified any known figure among them. My guess is the following males who participated in the MM4 may appear in MM5 too.

Mannada Mayilada has a great influence on my daughter Nikitha.She is a special child with a heart problem but she always repeats the steps of the participants after the show.She is so crazy about this show that we have to be at home on Sunday 730 pm come what may!We are residents of Pune and had gone to Kolhapur for a weekend.She forced us to search a hotel that will show kalaignar TV , unfortunately we could not find one.So after a ‘disappointing’ weekend for her she saw the entire repeat telecast next saurday upto midnight. She likes all the judges and simply loves the programme!!!
