Simple Aloo Tikki recipe
Here is a simple recipe for making Aloo Tikki.
Ingredients:
Parboiled rice powder – 200gms Potato – 1kg Kabuli chana cooked in garam masala gravy Chopped onions Chopped coriander leaves Chilli powder Tamarind water Mint/Coriander chutney Sweet chutney made of tamarind/dates Cooking oil Salt to tasteMethod:
Cook potatoes and mix it(after peeling) with rice powder in the ratio of 1:5. Make balls of medium sized lemon.
Heat approximately two tablespoons of cooking oil in a tawa and place the balls in the oil. Rotate the balls so that all its sides get slightly fried in the oil. Then flatten the balls to make them into round shape and shallow fry till both sides become golden color. Remove the pieces and place them on a plate and dissect them. Then pour cooked Kabuli Chana with gravy and the chutneys over it. Sprinkle chilli powder, salt and finally dress it up with chopped onions and coriander leaves. Now Aloo Tikki is ready to be served.
