Manada Mayilada, a dance competition programme on Kalaingar TV, has completed 75 weeks. Manada Mayilada is one of the rarest shows on Indian television and commands a very good TRP rating.
(1) Kala Master (2) Kushbu (3) Kala Master with Ramba
The show is a brainchild of Kala master(as is popularly known in Tamil film industry). The show runs for 2 hours every Sunday from 7:30 p.m to 9:30 pm. Contestants are usually couples(male – female combination) and they either dance alone or in group. The uniqueness of this show is the stage set-up. The stage sports new theme for every show according to the song situation given for that particular show. For e.g. the earlier shows have seen garden, snow, rain on the stage. Presently there are about 7 to 8 couple participants and they are really hardworking and sometimes perform dare acts.

The performance of the dancers is adjudged by three judges, one among them is Kala Master herself. The other two are cine actresses Kushbu and Ramba, the bombshells of Tamil film industry in the yesteryears.
For the 75 week celebration MM had set a stage of railway station namely Manada Mayilada Junction. There were tracks, stone-chips, railings, station master’s office, an over-bridge and the very familiar yellow name board for the look and feel of a railway station. There was also a tailor-made engine with two dummy coaches. Three judges were made to sit in front of two windows made to look like the windows of compartments. The scenery behind the windows kept moving continuously to give a realistic look of the train moving.
The whole team is doing a commendable job and Kudos to them.

Its really a golden feather to ur career. really hats off to u. nice to c back U, brinda master and rambha to this great judging panel. plz replace manitha and rambha from d judging panel of “manada mayilada”. can i ask u 1 thing? dont u know any expert dancers in india? south india? tamilnadu? @ least in chennai? wht was d criteria to select rambha and namitha as judge? they might be danced well in big screen. but not suitable as judge 4 this dance show. they r only just sexy stars in big screen. episode by episode both of them r proving that by their dressing and talking style. pls tell them this is not a sex show and pls do wear dress like family women. bcose ther are somany family audience 4 this show. and one more thing.. brinda master v r all respecting u and kalamaster more. pls dnt loose it. pls kala master pls. y dnt u post any expert MALE DANCERS as judge to this show? bhanupriya, lakshmi gopalaswamy, sukanya, sudha chandran, revathy chandran, gopika varma, vinith, sridhar, shobi, john…etc etc.. y cant u select some of them as permanent judge? this time the prize vlue is 40+lakhs. DNT 4GET THAT. so judgement should b impartial and judges should b experts. i like dance more… and am a great fan of such dancers mentioned above.
